JUBA, South Sudan – The Embassy of the People's Republic of China in South Sudan hosted a symposium on 7 July to commemorate the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC), bringing together government officials, academics and media professionals from both China and South Sudan.

The event was attended by Chinese Ambassador to South Sudan, H.E. Ma Qiang, who delivered a keynote address. Also participating were Hon. Amb. Agnes Oswaha, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of South Sudan; Cde. Bol Makueng Yuol, SPLM Secretary for External Affairs; Prof. Sun Jisheng, Vice President of China Foreign Affairs University and Deputy Secretary-General of the Research Center on Building a Community with a Shared Future for Humanity; alongside Chinese and South Sudanese experts, scholars and senior media professionals who joined both in person and online.

Drawing on General Secretary Xi Jinping's address marking the 105th anniversary of the CPC, Ambassador Ma introduced Xi Jinping Thought on Party Building and highlighted the central role of the CPC in China's development. He noted that understanding China today requires an understanding of the Communist Party of China and reaffirmed China's commitment to working with South Sudan to advance the building of a Community with a Shared Future for Humanity.

Representatives from South Sudan congratulated the CPC on its 105th anniversary and praised the achievements made by the Chinese people under the Party's leadership over the past 105 years. They also expressed their country's interest in strengthening cooperation with China across various sectors and learning from the CPC's governance experience.
